They say watercolour is the 'hard one'. Sure,... if you're not taught how to do it properly. This isn't a class where you just paint, and THEN find out what you could have done better... this is a class where you'll LEARN watercolour, not just watch and paint.
Jenny likes to give a little tutorial, where you'll find out about the day's subject. It will be demonstrated on the spot...you'll get some excercises to try it, and then a picture you can paint to use your new skill. We'll keep the subjects uncomplicated so you can really practice your skill. You'll see the workspace through the second camera. Like this:
EVERY BRUSHSTROKE EXPLAINED
ALL COLOUR RECIPES SHOWN
LOTS OF VARIED SUBJECTS
PAINT FROM YOUR OWN HOME
Individual attention given to every student
+ end of class critique if you want.
Templates, graphics and photos sent to you before class where required.
Paint your own gorgeous picture every week.

Please note: this unusual situation we find ourselves in has created the opportunity to offer this live online class. It is a GREAT opportunity to try watercolour, and get into one of Jenny's very popular Absolute Beginner courses. It is soon hoped that Jenny's face to face classes will be able to reopen (we're hoping in October). At this time it is unclear whether we will be able to continue this method of teaching after face to face classes have resumed, - I hope so - however, students may choose to join Jenny's Collaroy or Narrabeen (Sydney Australia) classes where space available at the appropriate level.
Jenny's regular full watercolour course goes for 4 terms and by the end of it, it is hoped you can produce your own sophisticated artworks such as those below, and enjoy painting independently. Practice makes perfect!
EQUIPMENT: Jenny has very firm ideas on what makes good equipment and what does not. It is highly recommended that you check out Jenny's Equipment list for STAGE 1 via the button below.
You will need only 6 colours. One Brush. Various bits like water container, hair dryer... if you already have equipment and prefer not to buy extra, then that's fine, however PLEASE READ the list and also note my one compulsory item: COMPULSORY PAPER - 2 sheets of Arches 300gsm rough watercolour paper.
French Ultramarine Blue
Please checkout the button above to obtain the equipment list for this class. Student quality equipment leads to disappointing results, buy artist quality where possible.
** PHOTOS OF PAINTINGS on this page ARE NOT REPRESENTATIONAL OF THE WORK WE MAY DO IN CLASS. They are decoration only.
