Give me a Chip!

Wed 26th Aug 2020 10am - 12.30 AEST

A Good reminder that even white is coloured when it reflects the light around it.  Love this picture of a seagull waiting to eat some of my fish and chip lunch.
FOR this picture you'll need masking fluid, a good masking fluid brush, some special colours, like Prussian blue, and lots of spare 'backs' of old paintings so you can use it for Test Strips, because making the shadow colours on this seagull is not as simple as it might look.   You'll learn about reflected light, making greys, shadow colours and ripples in water.  Cool!     Join me for this fun and informative painting.   Scroll down below for further information of equipment required, and bookings must be made early to ensure I have time to send your link.
I do not look at my emails again after 7pm on the night before. (That's because some people are enrolling super late...please don't do that to me!)

Weather for Ducks

coming soon.

A great little snapshot outside of the Narrabeen Tramshed community Arts centre where I teach, on a rainy day, these ducks were enjoying themselves.  We'll make much more of the reflections, delete the fence, and produce some great fun pictures.
IN this picture, you need to edit in and out, move and delete, add and subtract, enlarge, reduce, imagine, ...because you've got the subject, just not the surrounds.  This can make a GREAT picture, but at the moment its just a nice picture.   What makes a good watercolour? letting watercolour do it's thing....so...in this oe, reflections, and reflected light on those gorgeous feathrs, a pleasantly green background, letting colours run, and lovely negative painting around those duckies with the beautiful warm orange of beaks and feet for contrast.  Mmmm.   Join e for this fun and entertaining picture, Scroll down below for further information of equipment required, and bookings must be made early to ensure I have time to send your link.
I do not look at my emails again after 7pm on the night before.

About Zoom:
Zoom is a software application that allows users to have meetings,  workshops and webinars online through the use of your device's camera and audio system.
You DO NOT have to have a Zoom account to attend or participate in  a Zoom meeting or workshop.
But you do need to have Zoom downloaded to your device that you intend using.
You can download Zoom, free and easily to your device, a number of ways:  from the url www.zoom.us  , (Zoom client for meetings) , or the App Store on iphones and ipads, or Google Play on android.
OR  Jenny will email you with workshop details in the days prior to your workshop.  There will be a zoom link in the email.  If you haven't already, you will be prompted to download the software, once you have clicked on the link that you have been provided. You can do this in plenty of time before the workshop. (simply click it again when it's time for the workshop.)  You  may be prompted to make an account, but you DO NOT need an account, as the joiner.  When starting the workshop, click the link, you'll be asked if you want to join use computer audio and video. Say yes, and there you are!

You'll see your tutor through two cameras, one pointing at the
workspace for a direct view of the painting area and palette. >

Note: Zoom workshops are NOT recorded to protect your privacy
and NBW copyright.  You may screenshot if you wish but
may not reproduce screenshots of NBW tutorials without our

express permission.   Class notes will be emailed after the workshop

What you need for Jenny's Zoom Workshops:
1. A valid email address - which you are able to check and to receive your zoom instant-join link and password.
2. A computer, laptop or tablet with the free Zoom application installed from Google Play or App Store
3. On that same device - a functioning webcam / camera and functioning audio/speakers  (as the Zoom application is a video link.) Most ipads and tablets and smartphones have an integrated camera, some laptops have an integrated camera, or you could buy and install a webcam.
4. You'll also need the equipment listed below for your workshop (which will be repeated in an email sent after your booking is received.)

5. If requested (by email when you receive your zoom link) you may be asked to complete some pre-class work, such as drawing up.  Precise instructions will be given in these cases. As some students are slower drawers than others, it is preferable to complete this preclass work (where suggested only) to ensure you stay up with the class, as we are unable to wait for students who have not completed this work, once class has started.  Most drawing up will take place IN class, so please do not over draw your work before start.

About Payment:
Australians: bank deposit, credit card, debit card, paypal. Bank deposit must be cleared before class.
International visitors: credit card or paypal options only.  NO bank deposit.
